Day 5 – Off to Antelope Island

Tuesday 7^th November 2000

We set off for Antelope Island early in the morning. We would spend the night there, making it easier to travel back to Kariba the next day. I was still as stiff as a board, and bruises were appearing everywhere. (We could actually laugh about what had happened, and picture what we must have looked like !)

This fellow sat on the sand determined to climb on

Board. He was alone, unusual, and wanted to be fed,

but he didn’t get anything from us. It just encourages

them to approach humans, and they then make

such a nuisance of themselves.

He eventually climbed on board !
