Parts 2|3|4

The following are "NZWA Terror in Japan 2000" results from the shows held

Monday and Tuesday night at the Budokan Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Both shows

were sold out and followed by a brief interview session and fan meet.

Another show was held at Budokan on Wednesday and the NZWA also participated

in the PXWO Supercard, "Battlefest Supreme III," on Thursday at the Dome.

Both results for those shows will be posted tomorrow.

Credit NZWA Today reporter Gus Diamond for filling in for the injured NZWA

Boy on the tour and getting these results.

Monday/Budokan Hall-sold out

1) Nijimo Katsuke defeated Kato Sojima at 8:43 with a nadare shiki no

frankenstiener (top rope frankenstiener)-great match pitting two of the

PXWO's rookies against each other.

2) Melvin the Janitor & Mr. Shiso defeated Grande Maximus VI & Viper Goto at

12:18 when Melvin nailed Goto with the "Mop Up" (pumphandle backbreaker)-I

was suprised to see Melvin and especially in a match against guys with a

lucha libre style, but it was an awesome contest that had the crowd on it's

feet. Melvin even did a moonsault (!!!) and afterward left through the

crowd with Shiso.

3) Aleyah defeated The Masked Man at 6:47 after knocking him out cold with a

giant shovel in what was a crazy hardcore rules match. Lots of action and

fun for the crowd. Aleyah even grabbed some lady's bag and started beating

MM over the head with it. MM meanwhile accidentally (?) tore her tights

trying to piledrive her off the ring apron. Great contest.

4) Yumi Takaiwa, Miyami Fujo, & Pandora Devlin defeated Shima Saito, Junzaki

Isai, & TOJO SUKI at 23:20 to become the 4th holders of the PXWO Sankaku Tag

Senshuken (Triangular Tag Championship) and the first all female team to win

the titles against an all male team. The win came after Fujo nailed Isai

with her swandive shiki no dropkick (basically a slingshot dropkick from the

apron) in the back of the head which allowed Takaiwa to hook him in the

"Yumi Crusher" (a version of the Ace Crusher, but with a twisting motion)

and get the pin. Afterwards both Saito and SUKI attacked Isai claiming him

to be a "weak link." This was one hell of a match and the attacking of Isai

after drew major heat.

5) Sabella defeated Reija Shimutsuko at 16:32 to become the 5th holder of

the PXWO Sekai Joshi Senshuken (World Women's Championship) with a modified

Death Valley Bomb (driver). This was one of the best pure wrestling matches

I've seen in awhile and got a standing ovation at the end. It was non-stop

action from bell to bell with both women evenly matched. The end came after

Sabella nailed her Skytwister Press, but Reija kicked out! Sabella then

picked her up going for what appeared to be a suplex or something, but Reija

hooked her arm and flipped on her shoulders apparently going for a

udehishigigyakujujigatame (takedown into a cross arm bar). Sabella spun

around and planted her with a weird looking Death Valley Bomb and got the

pin. Both gave 200% and suprised me that the PXWO would give someone a

title shot so close to the supercard where the title was to be defended.

6) Mentski defeated Sasume Kintohimura at 8:27 in a Barbwire Spiderglass

Deathmatch with a "Ski-dog" off of the top turnbuckle through a table over

one of the boxes of spiderglass (a box with a glass top in which is several

wounds of barbwire) surrounding ringside. This was a brutal bloodbath with

Ski drawing tons of heat from the crowd many chanting "kutabre subeta,"

which means more or less "fuck you, bitch," (Mentski apparently is still one

hated heel over there from his IWA days) and him egging them on all the way.

He even started throwing broken glass into the crowd at one point. Both

were bleeding massively from almost the start taking several big and brutal

bumps, Ski at one point going head first into one of the spiderglass boxes

and getting a blade of glass in in forehead as well as barbwire around his

throat. Sasume, an old foe I was told, put up a hell of a fight nailing Ski

with his "Kintobomb" (diving kneeling powerbomb), but it wasn't enough to

put Mentski away. Fantastic match which had me thinking I was at an IWA

event.

7) Zombie Sr, Nightmare, Bloody J, Nashima Funitsu, and Mr. Pogo defeated

Varjay, Zombie Jr, Angel, Big Daddy Bull, and Kenshi Ryohito at 46:39 in a

wild 10-man elimination tag match. The crowd popped bigtime for Sr,

Nightmare, Jr, and Varjay due to the fact that they wrestled in Japan for a

long time before. They popped also for Funitsu, who holds the PXWO Sekai

Heavyku Senshuken (World heavyweight championship) and booed the hell out of

Ryohito, his current rival, but that in no way compared to the enormous

ovation given to the returning Mr. Pogo, who hasn't wrestled in PXWO since

it's birth in '95. He also lived up to his brutal reputation, as did they

all, and newcomer Bloody J showed up something as well. I will now go

through the order of eliminations.

-Big Daddy Bull is eliminated at 3:21 by Nightmare with the Nightmare Driver

(crucifix powerbomb drop) after nailing Jr by accident.

-Ryohito is eliminated at 7:38 by Mr. Pogo after Funitsu nailed him with a

super fisherman's buster and Pogo nailed him with what appeared to be an

hatchet.

-Nightmare is eliminated at 8:14 by Zombie Jr after a double-team VarHammer

from Varjay and Jr.

-Mr. Pogo is eliminated at 16:53 by Zombie Jr after turning wolf-form and

chokeslamming him and goring him with his claws.

-Angel is eliminated at 26:41 by Bloody J after nailing her with his

"Twisted Sister" move (chain of three double-arm suplexes followed by a

spinning Tiger Driver).

-Funitsu is eliminated at 30:02 by Varjay with a Tiger Suplex after blocking

a Funitsu bulldog attempt.

-Varjay is eliminated at 33:19 by Bloody J after J blocks a VarHammer and

drops Varjay on his head.

-Bloody J is eliminated at 34:06 by Zombie Jr with a double-arm DDT.

-Zombie Jr is eliminated at 46:39 by Zombie Sr with backdrop driver

(backdrop dropping opponent on head) from behind after Jr breaks the "Scream

Machine" (sharpshooter) when Cathy comes down to ringside.

The match was outstanding with more action than these results give credit.

After the loss Jr turned into wolf-form again and clawed Sr very badly until

Funitsu, Nightmare, and Bloody J broke it up. The crowd ate it up entirely.

This was a great ending to the first show and set the stage for more action

on the upcoming shows. On a side note, many other NZWA superstars like

Matango, Omegadawn, Cling, Kaz, Malk-kind, among others were not at this

show because of delays with their flights. They did arrive for the rest of

the tour however.
