	2000 CORVETTE

"Still eliciting the passion of bargain-minded speed fiends, the Chevrolet Corvette delivers power, handling and style at a relatively reasonable price," said Motor Trend in its October 1999 "Complete Buyer's Guide 2000 & 2001 New Cars" issue.
As in 1989, the hardtop was the "loss leader" model from a pricing and marketing standpoint, but the stripped-tor-highperformance model from the enthusiast's view.
The Goodyear Eagle Fl tires and an upgraded version of the Z51 Performance Handling suspension package were offered with this model.
A coupe and a convertible remained available.
New exterior and interior color options were the main changes for 2000.
A new five-spoke aluminum wheel design with an optional high-polish version was made available.
The Corvette's standard equipment list again included next-generation dual airbags; air conditioning; leather seating; power door locks and windows; a Passkey II theft-deterrent system; electronic speed control; an electronic Driver Information Center; and Remote Function Actuation with Remote Keyless Entry.
Colors for 2000 Corvette C5 Coupes and Convertibles were: Arctic White; Light Pewter Metallic; Sebring Silver Metallic; Nassau Blue Metallic; Navy Blue Metallic; Black; Torch Red; Millennium Yellow Clear Coat; Magnetic Red II Clear Coat and Dark Bowling Green Metallic.
Leather interiors were standard and came in Black; Light Oak; Torch Red; and Light Gray.
Convertible tops were available in White, Black, and Light Oak.
