1999 CADILLAC ELDORADO

• The Eldorado Touring Coupe (ETC) received a mid-model year update (it went into production in January 1999 and was available to customers as a 1999-1/2 model by March).
• The revised ETC included
  • new body color inserts on side and fascia moldings, which replaced the previous chrome inserts
  • new seven-spoke wheels with wreath-and-crest center cap
  • new P235/60HR16 tires
  • new ETC decklid logo with a simplified design
• Massaging lumbar seats were optional in the ETC.
• The "base" coupe again used the 275-horsepower Northstor 4.6-liter V-8 while the ETC used the more powerful 300-horse Northstar.
• The 4T80-E electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission with viscous converter clutch was again used with both Northstar versions.
